This aircraft design was done in a competition for Syd Mead Acceleration. The vehicle was sketched out by hand, modeled in 3d Maya then airbrushed in Adobe Photoshop. It took me at least 1 month to complete. The background environment with platform was also done in 3d maya and airbrushed in adobe photoshop. I used my past experience as a 2d artist to finish this 3d model.
The aircraft is called, "Armageddon" its based on Syd Mead famous aircraft spinner in the movie, "Blade Runner'. I didn't want to copy Syd Meads spinner so i created my own futuristic version. Its my pleasure in creating this design to honor Syd Mead.
This is my second 3d model i have done in Maya and still working on more projects at the moment. I hope you guys like it! take care for now.
